My name is Alan Reyes; I grew up in Tustin, California, a quaint city in Orange County, before moving to Corona, California, where I would spend the rest of my adolescent and teenage years. I attended Cal Poly Pomona, where I was fortunate to meet a fantastic teacher who introduced me to art and design.

After graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Communication,  I began working in the public sector. A couple of weeks and too many writing samples later, I found myself taking up offers to create content at work. What began as an opportunity to expand my skill set was the perfect mix of technical and creative work I excelled at. 

In 2021, I coauthored Louder Than Words, the first graphic design textbook explicitly made for public relations students and practitioners; the California State University System issues the text at their respective schools. Later that year, I landed my first job as a public information officer for a public agency, a goal I had dreamt of since beginning my undergraduate coursework. In 2023, I was accepted into USC Annenberg's Master of Science in Digital Media Management program.

Throughout my career, I have been consistently relied upon to create and execute campaigns as I have the public relations skillset needed to curate compelling messaging and the creative skillset to turn messaging into engaging content. In my free time, I freelance as a videographer, photographer, graphic designer and FAA-licensed drone pilot while providing the perspective of a pr professional on creative projects.
